What You Will Need:
• 225g/8oz plain chocolate, broken into pieces
• 2 tbsp golden syrup
• 50g/2oz butter
• 75g/2¾oz cornflakes, rice crispies, shredded wheat or similar
• 1 bag of mini chocolate eggs
• 1 pack edible cake toppers
Method:
1. Line your fairy cake tin with paper cases.
2. Take your bag of mini eggs, make a very small hole for any air to escape, wrap the bag in a tea towel, (just in case your mini eggs escape) and give the bag a couple of bashes with a rolling pin.
3. Take your chocolate, golden syrup and butter and melt in a bowl. You can either microwave this, or place the bowl over a saucepan of simmering, being careful that the bowl does not touch the water. Mix on a very low heat until all contents have melted.
4. Take the bowl off the heat, mix in the mini eggs.
5. Pour in the cornflakes, or cereal of your choice and give it a good stir making sure all the cereal is well covered.
6. Separate out the mixture into your fairy cases equally.
7. Add your edible cake topper of choice and place in the fridge to set.
Don`t forget to share your bakes and makes with us over on our Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest pages! We look forward to seeing you there!
